Skin fades, tapers, beard work and a full book of clients from all walks of life. An established barbering team in North Lakes, Brisbane wants an accomplished Barber with a minimum of 3 years' professional experience to join them.
This is a chair for someone who wants to keep growing, not just cut hair. Key Responsibilities
- Cut and style men's hair, including skin fades and taper fades, plus beard trims and grooming, to a consistent professional standard
- Read each client's needs and suggest styles that suit them
- Make every client feel welcome and build lasting relationships through dependable service
- Keep standards accurate on every service you deliver
- Prep, clean and look after your tools, equipment and station, following hygiene, health and safety rules
- Present yourself to a high standard
- Back your fellow barbers and the wider team, helping keep the shop positive, respectful and high-performing
- Take part in training and coaching, and bring new techniques and trends into your daily work
- Work towards agreed service and performance targets, and put forward ideas to improve the client experience
- Build leadership skills and take on more responsibility when the time is right
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of professional barbering experience, gained hands-on in a commercial barbershop
- Strong technique in men's haircuts, fades, styling and beard grooming
- Barbering experience that is genuine and can be verified, supported by a relevant employment history
- Good grasp of professional barbering standards and client service
- Communicates well and gets on with people
- Professionally presented, with an eye for detail
- Positive, team-minded, reliable and responsible
- Willing to keep training and building skills
- Adapts to different client tastes and current barbering trends
- Real drive to move up in the barbering industry
- Able to meet applicable Australian employment requirements
