Running a bar well takes more than pouring a good drink. It takes leadership, organisation, an eye on costs and standards that hold up every single night. This senior hospitality post in North Sydney is for a bar professional who already works that way.
You will own the bar function, lead the team and help build a quality beverage program. The employer will judge your fit on your past experience, your leadership record and how well you can run bar operations day to day.

Key Responsibilities
- Run the bar day to day and keep quality high across cocktails, wine and spirits
- Lead, coach and roster the bar team, and work well with the wider venue staff
- Handle beverage buying, stock and ordering, with inventory systems that run smoothly
- Keep an eye on beverage usage and costs
- Write and update operating procedures and checklists, and improve bar workflows and service
- Uphold responsible alcohol service and meet liquor licence requirements
- Help develop the beverage menu and keep improving it
- Make sure the bar meets its standards on every shift
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least three years of relevant senior bartending or bar management experience
- Demonstrated experience being responsible for bar operations and leading and training a team
- Strong hands-on knowledge of cocktails, wine and spirits
- Previous experience handling beverage stock and ordering, and an understanding of beverage costing and inventory control
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Current NSW RSA competency card
- Available for evening and weekend shifts
- Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship, and you must satisfy applicable requirements for employer-sponsored employment in Australia
- Able to provide evidence of relevant employment experience and your professional background
