Key Responsibilities
- Make breads and sweet yeast goods to commercial standards, following set recipes, methods and production steps
- Weigh, mix and prepare ingredients accurately
- Run industrial ovens and commercial bakery equipment safely, watching each bake so quality stays even
- Handle prep, baking and packing to meet daily production needs, holding standards steady through busy, time-critical periods
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety rules, and keep your bakery space clean, orderly and efficient
- Work closely with the rest of the bakery crew to hit production targets
- Move ingredients and finished goods safely, including loads of up to 25kg
- Help the bakery run smoothly each day by being dependable and organised
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven commercial baking experience, gained hands-on in a commercial bakery or food production setting
- Certificate III in Baking preferred
- Has used industrial ovens and commercial bakery equipment
- Can show knowledge of baking methods, recipes and production processes
- Understands food safety and hygiene requirements
- Keeps products consistent and high quality
- Able to work early shifts starting from approximately 2:00am
- Physically fit, with good stamina and able to lift up to 25kg
- Reliable transport and a current and valid driver's licence
- Hard-working, turns up dependably and works well in a professional bakery team
- Valid Australian work rights or eligible for an appropriate visa
- Can provide evidence of qualifications and relevant work experience
- Willing to work in South Australia; sponsorship is available for candidates who meet the required skills and experience criteria
