Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on heavy mobile equipment, including complex electrical and electronic system problems
- Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled service programs
- Service and fix automotive air conditioning systems
- Check how equipment is performing and give technical advice, using sharp troubleshooting to cut downtime
- Do maintenance work in line with Australian workplace safety standards
- Keep service paperwork and repair records accurate
- Provide dependable, professional field service support and work with teammates to lift service quality and efficiency
Requirements & Eligibility
- A qualified Auto Electrician holding recognised trade certification
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with heavy vehicles, mining equipment or mobile plant
- A strong background in electrical fault finding and diagnostics
- Air conditioning systems experience preferred
- Can read electrical diagrams and technical information
- A current driver's licence
- Able to meet the required site medical and workplace requirements
- Good English communication skills for safety and reporting at work
- Works independently and contributes well within a team, with a commitment to safe work practices and high-quality workmanship
