Your Revit models will end up as warehouses, factories and other large industrial buildings across Australia. This Crows Nest practice in Sydney is hiring a Graduate Architect who already has solid technical and documentation experience.
The focus is delivery, not concept sketches: accurate construction documentation, tight consultant coordination and knowing how a design becomes something builders can actually put up. You will work beside experienced Project Leaders and other technical staff.
Expect to show real project experience through past work. A portfolio of construction sets you produced yourself will carry more weight than a list of software. South African graduates should have academic transcripts on hand in case the employer asks.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and keep up detailed Revit models across several industrial projects at once
- Produce coordinated construction documentation from design all the way to delivery, turning architectural requirements into practical drawings
- Bring consultant models together, find clashes before anything is built and help sort out technical coordination and documentation problems
- Check shop drawings as part of the technical review
- Apply NCC requirements and the relevant Australian Standards to all documentation
- Help with site inspections and support during construction
- Work hand in hand with Project Leaders, consultants and other technical specialists
- Keep documentation packages consistent, accurate and high quality, and suggest better Revit standards and internal workflows
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated Revit documentation experience, with strong hands-on Revit modelling, detailing and documentation skills
- Proven track record producing construction documentation on architectural projects
- A demonstrated grasp of buildability and technical coordination
- Working knowledge of the NCC and Australian Standards
- Able to coordinate input from many consultants and disciplines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Communicates clearly and works well in a team
- Tertiary qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related field; relevant equivalent industry experience may be considered
- Able to show genuine project experience and technical skill, with a professional and accountable approach to delivery
