AP/MPI Certified Warehouse Person

Your days here centre on shipping containers: unloading them, checking them against MPI rules and keeping the paperwork straight. This role in Wiri, Auckland needs a current AP holder / MPI certified person to make sure container devanning is done safely, efficiently and in line with MPI requirements.
It is not a standard warehouse job. You will mix MPI compliance, oversight of the operation and documentation with hands-on unloading, so it suits someone who likes being on the floor while owning the standards. It is a long-term opening for anyone wanting to move their warehouse and container operations career forward in New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
- Run the daily devanning and unloading of containers, and help with handling and moving the goods yourself
- Make sure every MPI requirement and procedure is followed, and own compliance from start to finish of each unload
- Fill in MPI documentation, inspection records and any other paperwork needed
- Track container processing so operational deadlines are met
- Spot and report any compliance, safety or operational concerns
- Work closely with the other warehouse and container handling staff
- Stick to the site's health and safety procedures at all times
- Keep records and documents accurate, and help keep the workplace efficient, organised and productive
- Pitch in with other warehouse tasks when operations need it
Requirements & Eligibility
- A current, valid AP/MPI Certification
- Earlier experience in a warehouse, in container handling or in devanning
- Working knowledge of MPI requirements and procedures
- Physically fit, able to lift by hand regularly, and at ease in hands-on operational work
- Dependable, with excellent attendance and punctuality
- Works efficiently as part of a team
- A firm grasp of workplace timeframes and deadlines
- Follows instructions and compliance procedures accurately, with a firm commitment to strict health and safety standards
- Available for early morning starts and full working days
- Sponsorship may be considered for relevant overseas candidates
