Accounts & Bookkeeping All-Rounder

Your week here would mix supplier invoices, customer payments, bank reconciliations and a share of payroll prep. The employer is a growing steel solutions company in Fairfield, Sydney, and the role sits at junior accounts administrator level inside its finance team.

Key Responsibilities
- Enter supplier invoices and file the paperwork that backs them up
- Receive and process customer payments correctly and without delay, and chase overdue balances with follow-ups
- Reconcile bank statements and the company's financial accounts
- Help onboard new staff and get payroll ready each cycle
- Keep financial records accurate, confidential and filed according to company procedures
- Update financial data in Excel and the accounting software
- Pitch in with daily accounts administration and wider finance team tasks
- Deal with colleagues, customers and suppliers in a professional, dependable way
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience in accounts administration or relevant finance work, and it must be genuine and verifiable
- A practical grasp of accounting principles plus strong numerical ability and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with Xero or comparable accounting software
- Able to keep financial records accurate and well organised
- Clear, professional communication
- A reliable, responsible attitude to your duties
- Good organisation and time management
- Comfortable working on your own and with a team
- Able to meet applicable Australian employment requirements
- Sponsorship is available for suitable and qualified candidates
