Accountant
Trade · Belmont, Perth WA, Australia · Full-Time · $80,000/yr
Money owed to a growing Western Australian care services organisation comes through NDIS, brokerage and the Support at Home function, and this Accountant role keeps it all accurate. You will deal with funding claims, reconciliations, month-end reporting and compliance, so the numbers stay transparent and under control.

Accountants from South Africa should have degree certificates and transcripts on hand.
Key Responsibilities
- Run the NDIS and brokerage receivables cycle yourself: quotes, service agreements, invoices, claims and collecting what is owed
- Check funding claims and sort out any that are rejected, held up or underpaid
- Match receipts to the right accounts and reconcile client balances, funding payments and remittances
- Follow up overdue accounts in a suitable way
- Balance the receivables control accounts, dig into differences and post the journals and adjustments that result
- Back the Support at Home receivables team with accounting help, client budget reconciliations and tricky account queries
- Confirm services, funding arrangements, agreements and invoices with the operations teams
- Reconcile bank, balance sheet, general ledger and intercompany accounts
- Post accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other entries
- Help close the books each month and at year end
- Assist in producing profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash-flow reports
- Feed into management reports, financial analysis, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and spending reviews
- Help keep BAS, GST, payroll tax and other statutory obligations on track
- Maintain accurate books and sound internal controls
- Suggest improvements to accounting systems, reporting and receivables processes
Requirements & Eligibility

- Advanced Excel and confidence with accounting and financial management software
- An analytical problem-solver who is precise and well organised
- Clear written and spoken communication
