It suits someone with a proven background in quality-driven restaurant or hotel kitchens who is ready to put those skills to work in Australian hospitality. Your training, practical experience and kitchen ability will be properly valued. Working beside an experienced team, you should bring consistency, discipline and pride to every service and keep developing your craft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cook dishes to the set recipes and quality standards, keeping food quality, portions and plating consistent through every service
  • Help run daily lunch and dinner service
  • Make traditional Italian and Roman-style dishes, applying classical techniques across the menu
  • Help with handmade pasta and fresh ingredient prep
  • Get mise en place done efficiently before service
  • Keep an eye on food quality during prep and service
  • Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures and keep your station clean, organised and professional
  • Keep pace through busy, high-volume services
  • Talk well with chefs and kitchen colleagues and help keep team culture positive and professional
  • Help with stock preparation and general kitchen organisation

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Qualified Chef
  • Relevant culinary qualification or recognised trade certificate
  • You have proven experience in a quality-focused restaurant or hotel
  • You have strong hands-on cooking and food preparation skills and produce dishes to professional standards every time
  • You understand classical cooking techniques and have a genuine interest in Italian cuisine and traditional methods
  • You perform well in a high-volume kitchen
  • You communicate well, work as part of a team, and stay organised and on time
  • You can multitask without losing attention to detail, and you take a reliable, professional approach
  • You are willing to learn and grow within an experienced culinary team
  • You are available for scheduled lunch and dinner services
