Key Responsibilities
- Deliver barbering of a reliably high standard to every client, and own the quality of each cut
- Cut current fades, clipper and scissor styles, and finish with styling
- Look after beards with trims, grooming and shaves
- Chat through what each client is after and recommend a look that fits their face and taste, so every visit feels personal
- Turn first-timers into regulars through strong long-term relationships
- Keep your station spotless and hygienic, and help the whole shop feel friendly and professional
- Be upbeat and professional with clients and co-workers, adding energy to a team that works together
- Keep up with what is new in barbering, from trends to products and techniques, and keep sharpening your craft and service
- Step in to keep the shop running smoothly, and show the business at its best through how you behave, look and work
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Certificate III in Barbering, Hairdressing or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum two years in a relevant professional barbering role
- Proven hands-on fades, clipper work and scissor cutting, and capable with beard trims, grooming and shaves
- Knows today's barbering styles and techniques
- Precise, with a firm commitment to quality
- Well groomed and dependable at work
- Communicates well, gives great service and builds real rapport with clients
- A positive team player who wants to keep growing professionally
- Can supply proof of qualifications as well as a work history and industry experience that can be verified
- A following of your own clients is advantageous but not essential
- Must satisfy applicable Australian employment and sponsorship requirements, and must be eligible for the relevant sponsorship pathway where sponsorship is required
